Job Title:

Professional Services Instructor

$36.94 - $46.03/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary staff receive an additional $0.50/hr in lieu of benefits; 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay, with each pay period.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least one year of experience and/or training in retail management or office management;
  • 5+ ¬†years working in an office setting;
  • 1 year of previous adult education teaching experience and/or instructional qualifications preferred;
  • Associate Degree or higher is preferred;
  • Demonstrated curriculum development and/or project management experience;
  • Customer service facilitation;
  • Front Line leadership;
  • Mentoring or coaching experience;
  • Superior communication skills;
  • Ability to deal with adult students in a professional and supportive manner; and
  • Ability to be an effective and positive team member is essential;
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

This position will provide instruction in professional level courses in accounting, Microsoft office certification, basic entry office skills and customer service, as well as various interpersonal skills courses.
