Wages:

$36.94 - $46.03 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary faculty members are compensated $0.50/hour benefit allowance, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a valid Canadian AME license, Category M1/M2 or E rating, with a minimum of five years licensed experience (preference will be given to those with more than 5 years as an AME holder). Basic computer skills such as word processing, internet usage and email are essential.

All applications will be reviewed with preference given to applicants having experience in one or more of the following:

  • Experience or education in the delivery of post-secondary instruction, either in adult or high school environments in aviation;
  • Fixed wing background or experience on King Air, Cessna, or Jetstream would be an asset. General aviation experience considered;
  • Advanced avionics such as Airbus 320 family, Boeing 777 avionics systems etc. and field maintenance experience with fundamental avionics systems;
  • Roto experience in Bell 204/205/206/ or AS350; and
  • Provincial Instructors Diploma or Equivalent.
Duties:

Northern Lights College is seeking a relief instructor for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program that is currently offered at the Vernon campus location of the Okanagan College.
