  • Secondary School graduation (or GED) and a minimum of six years of *related experience;

Duties:

Help ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods, services and people in BC’s thriving Peace District

  • Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the position administers the bridge maintenance program for an assigned portion of the District to ensure safety and convenience of the motoring public. 
  • The Area Manager, Bridges oversees and monitors the bridge maintenance program to ensure the work carried out by Maintenance Contractor in Service Area 22 is in accordance with the contractual agreement; performs other related duties as required including supervising junior area supervisors and technical crews; and may act for Operations Manager during absences.
  • You will be responsible as district bridge specialist to interact with ministry staff, maintenance contractor(s), other agencies, stakeholders, and the general public in relation to the district bridge program.
  • You will perform detailed and routine inspections of structures within the district.
  • You may be asked for your expertise for the design, construction, inspection, renewal and maintenance of bridges and other structures in the district, as well as to manage and supervise minor projects.

Duties:

Our team at NENAS is dynamic and our commitment for helping people is the driving force to our success. We are looking for a Youth Services Support Worker to join our team on a part time basis.

The key responsibilities of the Youth Services Support Worker will include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating a safe and inclusive space at our facility for youth aged 11 to 18 years of age.
  • Maintaining client tracking logs, in accordance with the Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD).
  • Provide outcome oriented programming, ensuring that youth are offered a variety of engaging activities.
  • Work one-on-one with youth to support them culturally, socially and mentally.
  • Facilitating parenting skill and youth life skills programs.
  • Plan a minimum of three youth-led events.
  • Conduct monitoring and assessment activities with children and youth in the program quarterly.

Duties:

The Class 3 Driver and Forklift Operator would:

  • Load and unload materials being delivered to our customers.
  • Be familiar with the location of all inventory and equipment in the yard.
  • Maintain maximum security in yard. Prevent loss and damage to merchandise in the yard and on deliver.
  • Build special delivery orders when necessary.
  • Ensure that all safety precautions are taken within the yard under all circumstances including the correct handling of freight equipment, when loading and unloading trucks and pallets, when moving merchandise around the yard, etc.
  • Ensure that all safety precautions are taken when loading and unloading materials.
  • Responsible for seeing that the vehicle is kept in good mechanical condition with daily checks.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance to provincial and federal safety legislation, as well as use of good common sense. Report any potential hazards to management.
