Wages:

$36.24 - $45.17/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.

Qualifications:
  • The preferred educational qualification is a North American Master’s Degree in Accounting, or a relevant undergraduate degree with a professional designation such as the CPA or CGA.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with work experience or training relating specifically to taxation or accounting.
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational abilities are required.
  • The successful candidate(s) will have a commitment to working effectively as a team member.
Duties:

The Business Management programs at Northern Lights College offer a wide variety of courses for students interested in working towards a Business Management Certificate, Business Management Diploma, or Post-Degree Diploma in Business Management. NLC’s Business Management courses are also recognized by professional accounting bodies and receive transfer credit at other post-secondary institutions.

MGMT 203 is an elective course commonly taken by students pursuing the accounting stream of the Business Management Diploma.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering MGMT 203: Taxation. This course will be offered during the Winter 2018 semester (January to April) and will be delivered face to face on the Fort St. John campus.
