Drilling & Grouting Assistant Construction Manager - Site C

Starting Date:



$200,000 per annum
Extended health, dental, AD&D, life insurance, room & board onsite at camp facilities, 15 paid vacation per year


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understand best practices of job set-up and management, understand the critical path of decision making.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and manage a cohesive and effective team, with understanding of strengths and weaknesses of team members and using strengths of individuals and group to support the weaknesses.
  • Able to build and manage teams across diverse geographical areas and cultures.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communications skills that can be used with people of various backgrounds, experience, and education levels.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communications skills and cultural sensitivity.

Experience/ Qualifications

  • 3+ years of construction management experience in large and complex civil construction environments involving dams and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated expertise and 3 to 5 years of direct experience in grouting of earth-fill structures and dams is required.
  • Post secondary education in Civil Engineering technology or related field an asset.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively and to influence others.
  • Demonstrated highly effective platform presentation skills and training delivery skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Software-MS Project or Primavera.

The Drilling and Grouting Assistant Construction Manager will be responsible for the drilling and grouting construction portion of the overall project. They will be responsible for ensuring all construction, safety and environmental requirements are met. The Drilling and Grouting Assistant Construction Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that that measurable objectives with regards to dam construction are set and performance recorded against those objectives and that continuous improvement in the achievement of those objectives becomes a guiding principle in the performance of the work.
