$56,537.00 - $70,462.00 starting annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. We offer a competitive benefit package; College Pension Plan enrollment; 240 hours of vacation time per year – front loaded and pro-rated, as well as paid time off between the Christmas and New Year’s Day period.; and annual increments up to a maximum of $90,849.00 annually.

  • The preferred educational qualification is a Master’s Degree in Information Technology with a focus on interactive technologies.  
  • A Master’s Degree in a closely related discipline such as Computer Science or a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on information technology would also be considered. 
  • Experience teaching and developing courses at the post-secondary level is preferred. 
  • Preference will also be given to candidates with demonstrable educational or work experience in applying technologies to business solutions and to candidates who can demonstrate forward thinking and innovation in this field. 
  • Relevant technical designations, such as Microsoft certifications, are also an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational abilities are required.
  • The successful candidate will have a commitment to working effectively as a team member.

NLC’s Business Management programs in Fort St John require a permanent, full-time instructor to deliver a wide array of courses for an existing Post-Degree Diploma in Business Management - Information Technology Specialization and a proposed diploma program in Information Technology and Game Design.

The successful candidate would be required to develop curriculum for several new courses in the proposed diploma program covering topics such as web development, animation and gaming systems, mobile technologies, networking skills, application developments, and programming for cross platform applications.
