The North East Native Advancing Society (NENAS) is a non-profit charitable organization that plays a leading role in providing programs and services to First Nations (Status and Non-Status) and Inuit people residing in Northeastern BC.

Our team is dynamic and our commitment for helping people is the driving force to our success. We are looking for a Job Coach/Special Projects Officer that will work collaboratively with our Executive Director and EAS department. This is a full-time, permanent position. This position is responsible for community engagement and business support, and client job coaching.

The principle responsibilities are to:

  • Assist in planning and delivery of community consultation activities.
  • Develop effective job coaching and employment plans.
  • Assist clients to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals.
  • Conduct workshops for job seekers.
  • Deliver outreach services to surrounding First Nations communities.

Duties:

Surerus Construction and Development Ltd is looking to hire a full time Wash Bay Attendant to start immediately in our Fort St John shop.

The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for following all Surerus processes regarding this position. The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for keeping incoming units cleaned and maintained prior to servicing or prior to being dispatched. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the shop on an ongoing basis.

  • Keep units clean and organized by washing exteriors and having them ready for servicing or dispatch.
  • Ensuring that the wash bay is maintained and kept in a clean condition by sweeping and washing the shop as necessary to ensure continued cleanliness.
  • Clearing walkways and ensuring the front of wash bays are kept clear of debris and snow, including laying down ice melt in areas to prevent slips, trips and falls.
  • Ongoing tidying, including disposing of garbage, cleaning up fluids on floors and other duties as necessary.
  • Handing in paperwork as required by administration and the safety department.
  • Reporting all unsafe conditions, hazards or equipment damage immediately to the Supervisor. Responsible for attending all monthly safety meetings.
  • Other job duties as required, as the above duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
