Canfor is currently looking for a strong leader with proven experience in industrial/mechanical maintenance to join our team as a Mechanical Supervisor.

  • A strong commitment to safety.
  • Proven experience as a Supervisor in industry.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills.
  • You will have, at minimum, post-secondary education in a technical field or a trade.qualification, preferably in mechanical trades.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills as well as the flexibility to handle constantly changing work priorities are essential as is computer proficiency.
  • Pulp or paper machine experience would be an asset.
  • In order to be eligible for this position, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada for our company.
Duties:

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will apply your knowledge of pulp mill processes/equipment and mechanical trades while supervising multi-trade crews engaged in maintenance and project work. With safety as a first priority, you will also plan, schedule, co-ordinate and monitor all aspects of regular maintenance activities.

Experience

  • 5+ years quality related experience.
  • Manufacturing experience desirable.
