Experience/ Qualifications

  • Civil Engineer Technologist or Civil Engineer Degree.
  • 2 years experience with crushing and batching.
Duties:

Reporting to the Crushing Superintendent, the EIT/CET provides technical engineering support to construction management personnel to ensure crush and batch plant work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and drawings. They are responsible for planning, liaising with designers, sub-contractors, quantity tracking, and reporting. They will also provide construction discipline support to other departments such as Quality, Safety, and Environmental, daily construction reporting, and assist Superintendents with crush and batch plant management.

  • Strong analytical and math skills.
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook.
  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Comfortable driving a light duty truck and navigating around a busy construction site.

Experience/ Qualifications

  • Must be an Engineer in Training or a Certified Engineering Technologist.
  • Previous experience on a construction site, earthworks project or related project an asset.
Duties:

Working with the technical team, the EIT/CET will work under the guidance of a senior engineer. This position will provide a wide range of experience and responsibilities while preparing scopes of work while working on Geotechnical/Mechanical field campaigns. This entry level position performs project-specific administration, engineering and construction management duties.
