Duties:

Reporting to the Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) Construction Superintendent, the RCC Engineer provides technical engineering support to personnel to ensure construction activities comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and drawings. They are responsible for planning, liaising with designers, sub-contractors, quantity tracking, and reporting for all RCC related work.

Duties:

The Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for preparing scopes of work and geotechnical field campaigns. Additional duties will include various testing responsibilities such as conducting in situ tests, including compaction tests, permeability tests, and soil and aggregate sampling. Other duties may include providing support to other members of the construction group in assisting with field and office activities.

Lab Technician, Civil - Site C

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook.
  • Ability to work either dayshift/nightshift, alone or with team.
  • Comfortable with labour intensive work and standing for long periods of time.
  • Comfortable providing direction to others.
  • Able to handle heavy (35kg.) loads in laboratory and field environment.
  • Knowledge of CSA and ASTM testing standards for civil construction materials.

Experience/ Qualifications

  • Must have at least two years of civil materials lab experience in your work history.
  • Technical diploma or degree is an asset.
  • Previous experience on a construction site, earthworks project or related project an asset.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and indoors.
  • Must have a drivers license and should be familiar with driving ½ ton trucks.
Duties:

Reporting to the Lab Manager and working as part of the quality team, you will perform sampling and testing with minimal supervision. Sampling and testing may be done in the field or in the laboratory. The materials to be tested include various types of concrete, soil, and aggregate. This position requires a high attention to detail, problem solving, and strong communication abilities. The right candidate will bring a strong work ethic, team first attitude, and an enthusiasm to learn in our fast-paced work environment.
