Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency, and proven practical background, in both Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure and MEP) and Revit family creation with the ability to define specific modelling procedures. Accredited certification preferred but not required .
  • Competent in Autodesk Civil 3D with the ability to define specific modelling procedures.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks with the ability to manipulate, navigate, review and manage links to data sources.
  • Good working knowledge of any CAD package (Autodesk preferred).
  • Synchro Pro knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of general construction processes including design production, quality and defects managements, construction scheduling, survey (field set-out and pick-up), as-built production and asset data capture.

 Experience/Qualifications

  • Civil engineering background
  • Basic knowledge of standard construction practices
  • Experience on major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects valued

Please Note: This is a site based position located at the Site C Dam in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Preference will be given to qualified, local candidates. However, we will also consider fly in/out candidates based out of Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Calgary, or Edmonton.

Duties:

The BIM Technician is responsible for the development of the BIM model, construction drawings, and shop details for production jobs of varying complexity with the use of Revit.

RCC Field Engineer - Site C

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited intuition, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience on heavy civil construction projects, mass concrete experience will be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD/Solid Works/Primavera P6.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as an engineer on construction sites.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

  • The RCC Engineer provides technical engineering support to personnel to ensure construction activities comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and drawings.
  • They are responsible for planning, liaising with designers, sub-contractors, quantity tracking, and reporting for all RCC related work.
  • They will also provide construction discipline support to other departments such as Quality, Safety, and Environmental, in addition to daily construction reporting, and assisting Superintendents with site management.
