Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be team player and must be willing to participate in company safety and production requirements.
  • Familiarity with active construction sites.
  • Must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, report progress or issues to foreman/lead hand.
  • Have good judgment and ability to make decisions.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly through an entire work shift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Able to pass any pre-access screening, including a Drug and Alcohol test.
  • Experience with civil construction, earthworks and concrete are all assets.
  • Valid Drivers Licence, CSTS and other safety certifications are assets.
  • Previous experience on dam construction or large civil projects would be considered an asset.


  • Must be physically fit and able to work in remote camp locations.
  • Outdoor work subject to extreme weather changes.
  • Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts, day and night.
  • Physically able to work outdoors performing hard labour tasks.
  • Must be able to work access/board equipment in areas with uneven ground or snow or soft-ground/surface water.

The Labourer (Crusher Groundman) is responsible for general tasks on an active construction site. This will include things such as site clean-up, loading and unloading of materials, operating equipment and will require shift work covering both days and nights in all weather conditions.
