  • Post secondary degree or diploma in human resources, or business administration and one to two years experience in a human resources or administrative role; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, specifically as it relates to interpretation of collective agreements.
  • Experience coordinating and delivering multi-faceted programs and initiatives.
  • Experience processing transactions and manipulating a complex HR or payroll information system.
  • Experience coordinating senior administrative functions and operations.
  • Experience in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics.
  • Experience and knowledge of recruitment processes an asset.
  • Working towards CPHR designation an asset.

The Human Resources Coordinator provides senior level coordination and administrative support to activities designed to deliver the best experience for the employees of the organization. This role operates in an environment requiring a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy as it provides significant support to the planning, and delivery of human resources activities including staff development, engagement, recruitment, and performance management.

This role will develop, deliver and maintain systems to support and enhance complete employee lifecycle and corporate human resource reporting. The Human Resources Coordinator will develop systems and processes to support and/or lead hiring, classification, and training and development undertakings, and other human resource initiatives for the Commission.
