  • Strong field and office experience.

Experience/ Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma that specializes in a relevant applied science or technology.
  • A member in good standing (Professional Agrologist) registered with the appropriate professional association in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in respective area of expertise, including experience in the environmental planning and monitoring of large construction projects.
  • Previous experience in invasive plant control and treatment.
  • Ability to characterize soils.
  • Pre-site assessment and / or schedule A Assessment experience.
  • Easily identify Provincially and Regionally invasive plant species at various life stages.
  • A valid Drivers License is required.

Please Note: This is a site based position located at the Site C Dam in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Preference will be given to qualified, local candidates. However, we will also consider fly in/out candidates based out of Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Calgary, or Edmonton.

Duties:

The Invasive Species and Reclamation QEP will perform field and office duties to ensure the Site C Clean Energy Project is compliant with the environmental approvals (Licences, permits, authorizations, etc.) and/ or environmental protection plans (EPPs).

  • Journeyman Electrician or Instrument Technician.
  • 5 years trade experience in Oil & Gas, 2 years experience in project management.

Duties:

This position is responsible for managing contract execution, supervision and training of field staff, monitoring and reporting on projects, bidding status, budget control, customer liaising and general business development.

Reporting to the President, the E&I Project Manager is responsible for on-going project delivery, managing contract and resource requirements and project financials.

  • Able to communicate with customer representatives on all matters pertaining the project, including customer specific reporting.
  • Supervise on-site technical work, including commissioning and project turnover package.
  • Conduct weekly progress report for Kikinaw management.
  • Demonstrate understanding of job requirements based on contracts, blueprints and drawings.
  • Develop & ensure implementation of project specific Quality Management Plans.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and all customer site meetings.
