Qualifications:

Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Windows OS, MS Office products, PC hardware, networking, printers, personal wireless devices (Both Apple and Android), and remote access (Citrix, RSA, VPN) are required.
  • Supervision of third-party contractors performing IT-related installations or maintenance may be required.
  • Post-secondary education in a computer related discipline such as a Computer Engineering Technology diploma and at least 3 years’ experience in a technical support role OR an appropriate combination of education and experience required.
  • Comptia A+, Network + and PDI+ certifications are desirable.
  • Experience working within ticketing/tracking software is required.
  • Experience working with Security cameras, and associated hardware.
  • Point to Point Wireless experience, app virtualization knowledge, would be valuable skills.
  • Project coordination experience, and system deployment knowledge would be valuable skills for the candidate to possess.
  • Telephone, fax, data, and wireless radio communications support for remote facilities and offices may be required.
  • Network and fiber optic cable installation and termination experience are desirable.
  • Candidate must be client focused and possess advanced client service skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written English skills are required.
  • Candidates must be capable of contributing in a team environment, and be competent working independently.
  • Candidates will be required to work efficiently under pressure and remain calm in stressful circumstances.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills are required.
  • Candidates must possess high ethical standards and be trustworthy.
  • Candidates must have the ability to think logically and be capable of analyzing complex problems.
Duties:

Candidates will be from the Fort St John or Dawson Creek area and will be providing support at various client sites within the Fort St John & Dawson Creek areas.

Primary Focus

  • Assist our clients by working on a variety of IT-related projects, providing additional or backfill coverage when required, and providing hardware, infrastructure, and/or application support functions in the field. Support can be expected to be provided both in person as well as remotely.
  • This position will require traveling to and working at remote sites.
  • You will be supplied with a mobile device to ensure our clients have support at all times.
  • The successful candidate must be client centric (internal or external) and must have excellent client service skills.

Contract Manager - Worker Accommodation - Site C

Qualifications:
  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Law, Finance, Economics and/or Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in a dynamic business environment, including hands-on involvement in major infrastructure project contract formation, contract management and administration, contract claims, category management, ideally in a complex operating environment.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating, project management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven abilities (as they relate to contract management) in influencing internal and external parties, developing relationships, managing risk, and optimizing costs through innovation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract law is a pre-requirement for this position.
  • Experience managing contracts for a camp facility or in a hospitality/front line customer service environment would be preferred for this position.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.

Duties:

The Contracts Manager will support the Site C Clean Energy project by having overall responsibility for the Worker Accommodation Contract on site.

The Site C Worker Accommodation is a key component of the project’s labour approach to attract and retain workers for the Site C project. The worker accommodation camp for Site C is built to house up to 1,600 construction workers, with services and utilities designed to accommodate a total capacity of 2,200. It features single-occupancy bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, television and Wi-Fi services. Workers have access to a movie theatre, spiritual centre, hair salon, coffee shop, games room, convenience store, a full gym with fitness classes, a registered massage therapist and a managed lounge. In addition, the worker accommodation has its own health clinic which provides Site C workers with access to primary and preventative health care, along with work-related injury evaluation and treatment.
