Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Trade qualification is required, preference will be given to candidates with Millwright certification.

  • A strong industrial maintenance background and knowledge of industrial equipment are necessary.

  • Completion of an accredited CMVA Category 2, or Vibration Institute Level 1 course preferred, completion in two years after hiring required.

  • A willingness to learn new concepts, suggest improvements, and initiate change when necessary.

  • Strong leadership characteristics as well as decision-making, and trouble-shooting skills are an asset.

  • Attendance and participation in relevant training activities including Introductory Thermography and Oil Analysis will be required.

Duties:

We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Reliability Centered Maintenance Technician within our Maintenance and Operations team at Canfor Pulp Ltd. The RCM Technician will be responsible for condition monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, as well as advising maintenance and operations personnel on the diagnosis, possible corrective actions, and life expectancy of problem equipment throughout the mill.

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Pulp Mill, including safety, quality, production, environment, and costs.

  • The incumbent provides leadership on optimizing the operation and maintenance to support the continued long-term viability of the facility.
  • The Production Manager will also ensure that the operation meets all regulatory and environmental standards.
  • This key leadership role will be accountable for promoting a culture of performance management and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.
  • This position is also very involved in the development of annual budgets and long-term plans for strategic capital projects.
