  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation.

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently seeking a Dual Ticketed Journeyman Electrician & Instrument Tech for our Fort St John branch. Those with a Journeyman Electrical ticket and strong Instrumentation experience will also be considered. This camp position in the Tumbler Ridge area offers a 2 week in/2 week out shift. Preference will be given to applicants living in the Fort St. John/Dawson Creek area.

Required

  • Dual Ticket - Journeyman Electrical & Instrumentation certificate, OR
  • Journeyman Electric certificate with strong Instrumentation experience.
  • Must have a strong knowledge in both electrical and instrumentation.
  • Previous electrical & instrumentation maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSTS-09, and OSSA Fall Protection certificates.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License (non GDL).

Indigenous Human Services Worker Instructor

Wages:

$36.94 - $46.03, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.  Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.
Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Counselling, Psychology, or in a closely related discipline (applicants with an alternate combination of relevant education and experience will be considered);
  • A demonstrable and extensive related experience working in, or with, local aboriginal communities or those applicants with an in-depth knowledge of local aboriginal traditional practices, in particular relating to family, parenting, and wellness;
  • Instructional experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset, particularly experience with Aboriginal students; and
  • Experience developing courses at the post-secondary level.
Duties:

An instructor is required to facilitate student led discussions relating to learning outcomes in the Indigenous Human Services Certificate, with a focus on those topics relating to social issues and wellness in First Nation communities.  The delivery model for this seminar is face to face on the Fort St. John campus.
