Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, Social Work, etc.)
  • 2 years related experience.
  • Drivers License and car required.
  • Requires a home office (equipment provided).
Duties:

The Child and Youth Worker/Behaviour Consultant is a blend of two positions providing behaviour modification and skills training.

  • As the Child and Youth Worker, you will be providing intervention for youth with mental health challenges and/or developmental disabilities. You will support the goals as directed by the referring Mental Health Clinician. Activities may include; socialization, symptom reduction and skill development. The worker will also be responsible for liaising with Mental Health therapist, report writing, and case management.
  • As the Behaviour Consultant, duties include conducting Functional Assessment, Positive Behaviour Support program development, monitor support strategies for families of children with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Very flexible hours.
  • Position is clinically supervised by a BCBA which can be used towards certification hours.
  • Involves reimbursed travel.

Qualifications:
  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nurses Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must have current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry.
Duties:
  • In accordance with established policies and procedures and under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Manager, the Resident Care Aide performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration in addition to resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs of residents.
  • Transports residents and performs clerical duties.
