Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' field service work experience.

  • Valid Journeyman Mechanic (NGCT, HD, Auto) or Millwright Certificate.

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License with the ability and willingness to drive long distances.

  • Ability to lead, direct, motivate and supervise team members.

  • Possess well rounded knowledge of engine and compressor performance and operations; screw compressor experience preferred; experience with Waukesha, Cat, Jenbacher and Ariel, Mycom and Frick Compressors considered an asset.

  • Highly motivated and well organized.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties:

Reporting to the Service Manager, the role of the Field Technician includes, but is not limited to, maintaining and operating a field service truck to handle day-to-day field and shop maintenance services and perform overhaul of natural gas engines and compressors within the oil and gas industry.

We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity, and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success.

  • Working on medium to large stationary natural gas equipment: including but not limited to, engines, compressors (reciprocating, screw), pumps, valves, coolers, panels, generator packages and related machinery.

  • Conducting preventative maintenance inspections.

  • Performing all aspects of repairs and overhauls.

  • Troubleshooting machinery / equipment.

  • Installation and commissioning of new packages.

  • Supervise the maintenance & installation of packages as required.

  • Mentor apprentices as required.

  • Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
