Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic Understanding of federal, provincial and local industrial health, safety, fire prevention rules, environmental regulations, and related strategies.
    Good written and oral communication skills.
    Ability to learn new policies and procedures and to communicate and encourage support from plant employees.
    Strong organizational skills; close attention to detail.
    Ability to coordinate activities affecting diverse groups of employees.
    Ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams to achieve program and project outcomes
    Ability to operate a computer and supporting software.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years' related experience.
  • General work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous exposure to plant health and safety policies, procedures and administration.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Duties:

Support plant and safety management to ensure compliance with established safety policies and procedures. Perform tasks to implement policies and procedures. Liaison between the manufacturing facility and contractor area.
