Duties:

Reporting to the Program Co-ordinator of WorkBC Job Search & Support Services, the Employment Consultant will be responsible for providing job seekers with employment related resources and information.

Some duties will be:

  • Post daily updates of employment opportunities in the area.
  • Provide telephone and fax service to clients making contact with employers.
  • Provide message service for clients.
  • Provide support to clients using the resume and internet computers.
  • Keep labour market information and other resources up to date and available to clients.
  • Liaise with local employers and other service providers within the community.
  • Make appointments for clients to attend information sessions and employment counselling services.
