Wages:

Classification 16, $47,113.71 – $48,570.83 per annum, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement.  Northern Lights College offers a competitive extended health and dental benefit package, and MSP is employer paid.  Full time employees receive 119 hours of vacation annually, pro-rated and front loaded, and receive time off with pay for the period of December 25th to January 1st each year.

Qualifications:

Do you have experience servicing and maintaining, Windows OS and Windows Server systems?  Do you also have knowledge and hands on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and Outlook Web Access?

We are looking for an experienced information technologist, who has also worked in the administration of phone systems and network data storage.  If that sounds like you and your experience is backed with Comptia A+ certification, this position could be a great fit.

The ideal candidate will also have intermediate level knowledge of networking, including subnetting, vLans, data security and firewalls.  In addition, knowledge of video conferencing technologies and working with networked imaging will round out the skill set of the ideal candidate, who also holds intermediate or advanced technical certifications. 

As some travel is required, the successful candidate must hold a current and valid Driver’s license.

Duties:

The successful candidate will assist the Director of Information Technology Services to accomplish the broader goal of providing quality support, maintenance, and administration of information technology related areas for all students and staff. 

The Intermediate IT Technicians work directly and indirectly with students, faculty, and staff to provide troubleshooting, maintenance; repair, training, and support of network (video conferencing, telephony, imaging, desktop, mobile, storage, server hardware and software), and information management systems at an intermediate support level. 

This position also provides assistance in project planning and management for information technology related projects, deployments and upgrades.
