Our client a major oil and gas company is looking for Senior Start-up and Commissioning Plant Operators to assist with (3) Sweet Gas Plant Start Ups near Dawson Creek, BC from June till October 18th.

  • You must be set up as an independent contractor. A truck is not required for this position.

We are looking for the following experience and education:

  • Senior Operator:  10 plus years oil and gas operations experience; CSU experience and power engineering preferred.

Skills Requirement:

  • MUST have 10+ years plant operating experience.

  • Experience commissioning new equipment an asset.

  • Must be able to work with no or little supervision.

  • Valid First Aid, H2S, PST or CSTS and Fall Arrest safety tickets.

  • Clean driving abstract required.

  • Capable of passing pre-employment drug & alcohol test.

Duties:

Successful candidates will be working in a 400 mmscfd gas plant consisting of a single plant with inlet separation, electric driven inlet and sales gas compression, low temperature mechanical refrigeration, tankage, and all utilities necessary to provide a safe and reliable operating gas plant. Two (2) 200 mmscfd processing trains will be used to achieve the 400 mmscfd inlet capacity.

$29,660.50 - 35,231.00 starting annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. We offer a competitive benefits package; College Pension Plan enrolment; 120 hours of vacation time per year - front loaded and pro-rated, as well as paid time off between the Christmas and New Year's Day period; and with increments up to a maximum of $45,424.50 annually.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Completion of an accredited Bachelor of Science in a Nursing program;

  • A current, practicing license with the College of Registered Nurses of BC;

  • Three to five years (full time equivalent) of recent and relevant Canadian Nursing experience;

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral;

  • Ability to work as a team member; and

  • Proficiency and experience in word processing, PowerPoint, learning management systems, and other forms of computer-based education and communication.

Preferred

  • Experience and/or formal accreditation in teaching adults (i.e., completion of the Provincial Instructor's Diploma Program).
