Duties:

Based out of Murphy Oil's Dawson Creek offices, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the tracking and directing of all maintenance activities through the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) (SAP). Will be responsible for all mechanical trades and mechanical assets including, but not limited to: mechanics, pipefitters, millwrights, welders, labor crews, insulators, gas fitters, boilermakers, vessel inspection, crane, scaffolding, carpentry.

  • Track and implement work order system through SAP. Ensure on time and on budget execution.

  • Ensure PM (Preventative Maintenance) programs are created, followed, and executed on schedule.

  • Ensure ABSA compliance of pressure vessel inspection and maintenance, and ensure work orders are created, executed, and closed out.

  • Work closely with Operations and Procurement Dept to ensure work orders are executed through approved vendors and cost schedules through existing MSA (Master Service Agreements). Provide input to create MSA to ensure maximum value to the company.

  • Ensure environmentally responsible and safe mechanical maintenance practices are carried out in accordance with government (AER, ABSA) and company (PMP, POMIM, WMP) policies.

  • Scope out upcoming work activities approved through work order system (SAP) by area operations foremen and develop plan to best utilize contracted craft labor to perform work.

  • Create preventative maintenance work orders for all mechanical equipment (vessels, devices, engines, compressors, tanks) to reduce unplanned failures and meet regulatory requirements (ABSA, AER).

  • Hold weekly maintenance schedule meetings with operations group and publish weekly schedule for upcoming activities so all parties are aware of what is going on. Adjust the priorities based on the asset needs.

  • Work with Superintendent to ensure all parts are procured in a timely and cost effective manner and are correct for upcoming jobs. Plan unscheduled and break-in work in a timely manner and update schedule to reflect the break-in for the following week.

  • Plan activities for yearly major turnarounds and develop budget and schedule. Deliver annual turnaround schedule.

  • Build asset registry in CMMS/SAP program and perform all updates as assets are moved, added, or divested.

  • Ensure MT's (Material Transfers) are effectively executed and tracked through SAP.

  • Create and plan facility and pad site turnaround schedule well in advance of execution. Generate cost, schedules, work-orders, and execution plan for turnarounds. Plan manpower, labor, contractors, and vendors for turnarounds. Hold pre-T/A planning meetings, and ensure execution of T/A on time and on budget.
