Duties:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform to meet schedule as outlined by client.
  • Assist/perform in troubleshooting during start up activities.
  • Perform walk downs identifying deficiencies developing punch lists and verify when a punch item has been resolved.
  • Perform plant permitting and or assist plant operations with plant permitting upon transition from a greenfield to a brownfield plant site.
  • Develop and implement lock out tag out lists and blinds lists.
  • Assist in writing of commissioning guidelines per system and start-up guidelines.
  • Prepare site equipment and piping systems for CSU activities via lock out tag out, flagging, and blinding.
  • Test run and/or operate equipment as required ensuring satisfactory operation, assist in cause and effect testing and control narrative testing.
  • WHMIS label piping and associated equipment.
  • Perform commissioning activities on process systems such as gross air leak tests, air blows, nitrogen purging, first fills, system flushing and filtration.
  • Direct maintenance and I/E personnel as required.
  • Support operations team by assisting, mentoring, training and or leading in CSU activities including but not limited to driving PSSRs, assisting in first fills.
  • Install and verification of car seals, PSV verification.
  • Assist in vessel closures.
  • Perform N2 purging, fuel gas purging and assist and or preform start-up of plant.
  • Monitor and maintain operating process equipment.
  • Perform shift work, work remotely and modify as required to suit startup.

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is looking for Regional Trainers across BC to deliver Appetite to Play workshops. Appetite to Play was developed as a coordinated approach to build the capacity of early years providers to provide healthy food and physical activity environments and promote healthy eating and physical activity in early years settings. As a Regional Trainer, you would deliver Appetite to Play workshops in your home community to Early Year Practitioners. If selected, you will participate in 1 day of training on the Appetite to Play program and then will deliver the 3 hour training in your community on evenings or weekends.

Appetite to Play is an initiative designed to support early years providers to enhance their knowledge, skills and confidence in providing environments that support healthy eating and physical activity. Appetite to Play is offered in 3 hour workshops across British Columbia and delivered to Early Year Practitioners.

Major Responsibilities

  • Attend 1 full day (paid) of Appetite to Play training.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Appetite to Play program delivery model and resources.
  • Effectively deliver Appetite to Play training workshop sessions as per guidelines.
  • Participate in feedback surveys to support the ongoing development of the training.
  • Ensure the safety of all members, participants, staff, and property by following YMCA standards/policies/procedures.
  • Do outreach in your community to increase number of Appetite to Play workshops.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
