We are looking for a mature and responsible individual(s).  We offer some training and a great team environment.  Our schedule allows all evenings free to be at home and a flexible weekend schedule and our store is always closed on Sundays.

  • Class 5 Drivers License.

  • Forklift, skid steer and/or chainsaw tickets are an asset.

  • Positive social skills.

  • Good customer relations.

Duties:
  • Lift, load and count material.

  • Load and unload trucks.

  • Operate a rough terrain forklift.

  • Operate a skid steer on occasion.

  • Operate a tablesaw, mitresaw, chainsaw and tape measure often.

  • Deliver building supplies and finishing materials.

  • Good social skills and customer relations are a must.

Qualifications:
  • Dynamic and highly motivated.

  • Highly organized and goal-oriented.

  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and Powerpoint).

  • Disciplined and able to self-manage while easily collaborating with others.

  • Able to speak to groups, individuals and companies with confidence.

  • Strong ability to set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for fundraising, donor contact and future ideas.

  • A background of charitable/volunteer work is an asset, but not necessary.

  • Familiarity with Dawson Creek and surrounding area and the business community is an asset.

  • Previous experience in office administration and customer service would be preferable.

  • Philanthropic spirit and passion is a must.

  • CFRE designation would be an asset.

  • Drivers License is required.

Duties:
  • This challenging role has a strong focus on fundraising, event planning/coordination and operations for the Foundation.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Orchestrating and improving on already established foundation events.

  • Assisting third parties with their event planning, whereas the Foundation is the event beneficiary.

  • Writing funding proposals and seeking out new events and funding opportunities.

  • Liaising with current donors.

  • Recruiting new donors.

  • Managing the Foundation office:  filing, answering phone, responding to email inquiries, submitting regulatory and procedural paperwork, applying for licenses.

  • Promoting the existing bi-weekly 50/50 draw.

  • Corresponding with media and the public; preparing press releases and monthly newspaper piece, updating website and social media, and recognizing donors.

  • Corresponding with Northern Health executives and employees.

  • Representation of the Foundation inside and outside the hospital.
