Bannister Ford Dawson Creek has an outstanding opportunity available for a Sales Manager! We are looking for an experienced, energetic team leader to help deliver a superior buying experience in our New and Pre-Owned departments. If you are a leader with a high degree of integrity, proven success in the automotive sales field, and a commitment to excellence, we would like to talk to you.

Core Requirements

  • Proven success as an Automotive Sales Manager, including managing a pre-owned department.

  • Experience managing and marketing new and pre-owned inventory.

  • Experience with internet and retail tools (CDK, CRM, inford, etc).

  • Possess strong closing abilities and ability to work with lenders.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Professional and personable demeanor.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.

  • A high degree of follow through and commitment to excellence.

  • Valid Drivers License (Class 5 BC or equivalent) and current abstract.

  • VSA License.

  • Supportive and positive team leader.

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage all areas of the Sales department, including wholesale and retail.

  • Mentor, guide, and coach sales team on all aspects of sales, policies, and customer service.

  • Lead the growth and development of our Pre-Owned department, including the implementation of a Certified Pre-Owned program.

  • Appraise vehicles, desk deals and buy in inventory from many different sources.

  • New vehicle ordering and management.

  • Market inventory using a variety of proven methods and resources.

  • Manage inventory levels and improve/maintain gross profit targets.

  • Forecast goals and objectives for vehicle sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.

  • Utilize all resources, including personal follow up, deal closing, and communication with other departments to positively affect deal movement throughout the store.

  • Ensure high sales and delivery standards are met or exceeded for each customer.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and encourage customer experience feedback.

  • Understand and follow all applicable regulations.

  • Encourage and facilitate a team environment for the Sales department, as well as the dealership as a whole.
