Qualifications:
  • Successful candidates will have experience in specific programs and the ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity.

Duties:

The City is seeking enthusiastic recreation program leaders to assist with delivery of recreation programs including mini sports, sports camps, gymnastics, preschool events, birthday parties, indoor soccer, run, jump throw, and other drop in and pre-registered sports programming as well as leading or assisting during special events. Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, Recreation Programmer, or designate, Casual Program Instructors are responsible for supervision and implementation of the programs including opening and closing of buildings and post program clean up as necessary. Work will be available on an ‘as needed’ basis as these programs are registration dependent. These positions require a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to accommodate programming and special events.

  • The primary focus of these positions will be to assist with the maintenance of the building and grounds that will include some janitorial duties and minor repairs. 
  • The Facilities Assistant will perform general grounds work and carpentry duties that may include the operation of small equipment.
