Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Instructor

$57,615.00 - $71,807.00 annually, depending on qualifications and experience as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement, with annual increments occurring until reaching the maximum of $92,582.00 annually. Faculty employees receive 240 hours of vacation annually, pro-rated and front-loaded, based on FTE, as well as time off paid between the Christmas and New Year’s Day period.  We offer an extremely competitive extended health and dental program, along with MSP (provincial health) coverage.
Qualifications:
  • Applicants must hold a valid Canadian AME license, Category M1 or M2, or E, with a minimum of five years licensed experience (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills such as word processing Excel, PowerPoint, internet usage and email are essential.

  • English - Mandarin bilingual.
  • Helicopter experience in maintaining: Bell 204/205/206.
  • Endorsed on Eurocopter AS350 Series.
  • Aircraft experience in maintaining: Cessna single engine aircraft on floats; Cessna twin; Piper twin; Beechcraft King Air series; and/or BAE Jetstream series.
  • Turbine engine maintenance experience on any of the following engines: Rolls Royce 250 series, Pratt and Whitney PT6 series, Garrett TPE 331, Lycoming LTS-101 and/or T-53, or Turbomeca Arriel.
  • Type experience on King Air, Twin Otter, or Commander Airframes, and PT6 and Garrett 331 engines.
  • Field maintenance experience with avionics systems; Comms, Auto Pilot, GPWS, etc.
  • Background in airframe structural repairs.
  • Management experience, such as, crew chief, Director of Maintenance, or Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM).
Duties:

There is a position of employment with Northern Lights College to instruct in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program at the Dawson Creek Campus.

The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a Lifeguard/Instructor 1 Term position at the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre. Under the general supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator or designate, a Lifeguard/Instructor 1 performs life guarding and instructing functions at the swimming pool as well as minor maintenance.

This position will mainly be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday to Friday; however, may be required to work other days to meet operational needs.
