Qualifications:
  • Successful applicants must demonstrate enthusiasm for sport and an excellence in customer service attitude.
  • In addition, successful candidates must be minimum 19 years of age, a high school graduate, and hold a valid Driver’s License and have a reliable means of transportation as the programs are offered in a variety of locations throughout the City.
  • We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, to facilitate positive interaction with program participants, demonstrated by two years previous related experience in program/lesson planning, instructing, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Familiarity and efficiency on a computer, including demonstrated use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat are also required, and clerical testing may apply at stage two of the interview process.
  • A current first aid certificate is desired.
  • The successful applicant must have the ability to perform all duties in a safe manner following established procedures and have the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the public and other staff members. 
  • Physical agility - the ability to complete duties requiring physical effort such as set up, take down and proper storage of recreational equipment is also required.

Duties:
