Qualifications:
  • Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or ECE Assistant Certificate required, or willingness to enroll in the ECE online/local courses.
  • Courses, training or education in a relevant field (child development, child guidance, health, safety & nutrition).
  • Childcare First Aid (or willingness to obtain) as specified by Community Care Facility Act.
  • Relevant work experience in an educational setting (i.e. teacher, teacher assistant, volunteer, daycare).
  • Experience working with both children and their families/guardians.
  • Knowledge of child development and the various stages of development.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and experience working in First Nations community.
  • Must be 19 years of age.
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check.
Duties:

The successful applicant will work alongside an Early Years childcare team supporting the development and implementation of the West Moberly First Nations (WMFN) Dakii Yadze Centre licensed Multi Age Care Program, primarily serving ages 12 months to 5 years. This program operates in accordance with the Community Care Facility Act.
