Reporting to the site Loss Prevention Coordinator, the Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for matters related to health, safety and site security.

Objectives include, but are not limited to, greeting all visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a high level of health & safety performance, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures, responding to emergencies and administering competent first aid, willing to obtain a mine rescue certificate and participating in mine rescue activities, performing workplace monitoring and controlling access and egress of all mine site personnel and equipment, accurately completing reports, participating in drug and alcohol program as collector, and assisting the Loss Prevention Coordinator when needed.

This position is required to make field visits to other areas of the mine property. He/she must be physically fit and have the ability to travel by foot or vehicle.
