Wages: Salary $21.67 - $24.48 hourly, plus a $53.82 bi-weekly Isolation Allowance
Qualifications: Qualifications for this role include:
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • A combination of 3 years of secretarial / stenographic / administrative support experience, education and/or training.
  • Experience / training in word processing, spreadsheet, database and other standard computer applications including the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • 50 wpm keyboarding speed.
Duties: BC Parks is responsible for all matters related to the effective management and conservation of natural and cultural resources in provincial parks, protected areas, recreation areas, conservancies and ecological reserves throughout British Columbia. As a Program Administrative Support Clerk, you provide administrative and secretarial support services to BC Parks managers, section heads and program staff.

  • Working under time and work volume pressures, you capably readjust priorities to maintain the flow of information while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Frequently required to prepare correspondence, reports and other material containing highly sensitive and confidential information, you exercise tact and sound judgment at all times.
  • Highly organized, you determine appropriate courses of action and work on your own initiative to complete assignments.
  • Your professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a dynamic team ensure your success in this role.
