  • The preferred educational qualification is a North American Master's Degree in Psychology. 
  • Preference will be given to applicants with work experience related to the course topic. 
  • Experience developing and teaching courses at the post-secondary level is also an asset.

Duties: The successful candidate will teach one section of Psychology 224: Organizational Behavior during the Intersession 2017 semester (May to June) from either the Dawson Creek or Fort St. John campus.

The Psychology 224 course is an introduction to current research and theory in organizational behavior. Topics will include: motivation, learning, communication, decision-making, power, group behavior, leadership, and job stress. This university transfer course is used as an elective course across a variety of academic programming. 

As a required course in the Post-Degree Diploma in Business Management, the majority of students will be enrolled in this program.  Typically, these are international students who hold an international degree in various disciplines. The Accountant's major focus is providing the Fort St John management team with relevant historical and forward-looking financial / statistical analysis and information, and participating in decisions that enhance the company's profitability. The role ensures that appropriate systems, policies and procedures, and internal controls are in place for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial closes, weekly cost reporting, monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual business plans and capital processes.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Providing local operational and financial analysis for senior management.
  • Coordination and liaison with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and IFRS.
  • Preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assisting management in departmental budget control, cost/benefit analysis, and provide financial information and recommendations.
  • Coaching local operations personnel on financial matters.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of Canfor business practices.
