Starting Date: July 1, 2017 to August 31st, 2017 for candidates that are applying from High School and May 30, 2017 to August 31st, 2017 for applicants applying from a post-secondary school.

Qualifications: LP Building Products is currently seeking summer students to join a dynamic team at their facility located in Fort St. John, British Columbia for the summer of 2017.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of completion of full-time studies at an education institution during the 2016-2017 academic year.
  • Full time is 3 or more courses per semester
  • Applicants must be committed to continuing or already enrolled in a post-secondary school in full-time studies during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Consideration is given to:

  • University, technical and Vocational Students enrolled in Engineering, Forestry, relevant Sciences and any other relevant field of study.
  • Labour experience is considered an asset.
  • Candidates must be safety minded.
Duties: Work Environment:
  • Industrial Environment
  • Exposure to machinery, dust, chemicals, and loud noises
  • Indoor and outdoor exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the general maintenance and up keep of the mill grounds and assist in day to day operations where needed.
  • Paint indoor/outdoor areas where needed
  • Maintain lawn areas where needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of various outdoor areas (parking lot, sidewalks, etc.)
  • Assist in records retention in various departments
  • Assist various departments as needed
  • Other duties as required.
