Duties: CJDC Television is looking for the right individual to support our television operations in Dawson Creek. We are looking for someone who would like to spend their career in this exciting industry, in a critical, multifaceted behind the scenes role. This is a full time freelance position. The right candidate will work in tandem with our team of Switchers, and our TV Traffic Coordinator.

Master Control

  • Switch commercials in programming.
  • Import and monitor commercials in cover-over.
  • Import and maintain web content when required.
  • Closed caption all local programming.
  • Monitor audio and video levels at all times to maintain consistent high quality notifying Supervisor or Engineer of any equipment or technical problems.
  • Complete documentation for every shift including the actual airtime for every commercial and program that runs entered in the appropriate position on the log.
  • Learn aspects of television and news production techniques.
  • Be able to work nights and weekends in a high pressure environment.

Program & Commercial Scheduling (Traffic)

  • Entering programming changes and formats into the television traffic system.
  • Reconciliation of previous days logs.
  • Assign cart numbers and entering the traffic instructions.
  • Input all local, and national contracts and commercials into the system.
  • Print Confirmations, match & check against orders.
  • Run weekly reports and provide to A/R and Managers.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications: Techmation Electric & Controls is searching for an Instrumentation Manager for our Dawson Creek branch. We require a dynamic and experienced Instrument Journeyman with previous management experience in the industrial sector. This person will have a continual focus on safety, cost control, client satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Journeyman Instrumentation certificate with minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial setting.
  • Must have a strong knowledge in both electrical and instrumentation.
  • Stronger customer service skills; formal training would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent contract administration skills including the ability to review and execute the project based on the specific contract specifications.
  • Candidates must have knowledge or past experience with:
    • Process control, and measurement instrumentation on existing and new field equipment and processes (transmitters, controllers, analyzers, control valves, etc.)
    • Strong knowledge of Fisher measurement products, specifically all models of ROC devices and software.
    • Mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification; remove and install small piping and tubing.
    • Rebuild of control valves and tune controllers.
    • Preventative maintenance on instrumentation (calibration, replacement and tests as required); field instrument records and standards.
    • Process control.
    • Working knowledge of applicable codes, procedures, policies, and regulations.
    • Strong team development and leadership skills with change management experience.
