Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Instructor

Wages: $59,026.00-$70,112.00 annual starting wage, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement (annual increments up to a maximum salary of $90,397.00). Vacation entitlement annually is 240 hours (pro-rated from hire date for current year), to be utilized for summer months, July and August. Paid time off between Christmas and New Years, and an excellent Benefit Package.
Qualifications:
  • Applicants must hold a valid Canadian AME license, Category M1 or M2, with a minimum of five years licensed experience (preferred). Basic computer skills such as word processing, internet usage and email are essential. All applications will be reviewed with preference given to applicants having:
  • Experience in maintaining Bell 205 and/or Bell 206 airframes and their associated engines; the Honeywell T53 and the Rolls Royce 250 with interest in teaching Transport Canada approved type training courses; and BC Provincial Instructors Diploma Program or equivalent
  • The successful candidate will be required to enroll in the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program within the first 9 months of employment, unless otherwise determined qualified
Duties:
  • To instruct in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering "Basic M" and "Type Training" programs.

  • Share your knowledge and experience with a group of eager students that also have a passion for the industry.
