  • High Voltage Experience.
  • Experience building gas plants.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Electrical.
  • Oil and Gas experience is a must.


  • Journey Person Electrician.
  • (10) Ten years Industrial experience.
  • (5-10) Five-Ten years supervisor experience.
  • Journey Person Electrical Certification.
  • Previous Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
  • Previous history working with 3D models is an asset.
  • Basic estimating skills.
  • Knowledge of Primavera 6.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation.
  • Previous history working with duct bank installation.
  • Previous history working with module assembly.
  • Must be able to read isometrics / general arrangements / P&IDs.
Duties: Under the direction of the Manager of Construction, the Electrical Superintendent is responsible for the planning, and management of the Electrical field construction activities in accordance with our client's Policies, Procedures, Plans and Specifications. Electrical Superintendents are responsible for their unit's Project performance including Safety, Environment, Project Controls, Material Management, Quality, Client Relations and Project Status in the construction phase.


  • The safety of all personnel working on The Project.
  • Complete safety audits either formal or informal to ensure compliance with site HSE.
  • Manage the field execution of the Electrical and Instrumentation scope in conformance with Project Quality, drawings, specifications, schedule, and cost estimate.
  • Provide input for the development of the Project schedule in cooperation with Home Office Engineering and Construction Planners / Scheduler.
  • Help develop construction power layout and load calculations.
  • Work with the Home Office Engineering and Construction Team to provide input around the field execution of cables trays, duct bank installation, heat tracing, module interconnections, and instrumentation into the engineering design. The objective is to reduce man-hours onsite, introduce Safety by Design, limit field cable pulls where possible, and identify areas of concern.
  • Actively participate in the Constructability review to identify areas of concern in the Path of Construction, or alternative E&I options with which may result in achieving greater results for the Project. These results could be an increase in worker safety through new methods of construction, a decrease in the Environmental impact, greater productivity of the workers or an identified cost savings to the Project.
  • Attend and participate in 3D Model reviews to support project requirements. Identify areas of concern, maintenance and reliability, cable tray clashes, and answering questions in relation to construction activities.
  • Where required, work with the Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Contracts Team in the development of the contracts, making certain that prior to award mechanical contractors understand the Project rules, their identified scope of the work, and the schedule requirements.
