Job Title: Seasonal Watershed Technician

Wages: $24.07 (after probation)
  • Completion of Grade 12 and current enrolment in a relevant post-secondary technical diploma (minimum two years) or University degree in a related field such as environmental science, environmental studies, hydrology, or geography.
  • Preference will be given to students returning for their 3rd or 4th year of study.
  • Computer skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience in watershed monitoring, coordination of stream programs, or land use planning will be considered assets.
  • Experience with GIS technology is also desired.

  • Supporting the current Watershed Technician to fulfill the work plan of the Kiskatinaw Watershed Stewardship Program.
  • Provide technical, informational, and organizational assistance to further the goal of maintaining or improving the quality and quantity of water resources within the Kiskatinaw River, upstream of the Arras Bridge.
  • 2017 summer activities will include water quality sampling and monitoring, conducting flow measurements, record keeping and data management, and supporting community engagement opportunities.
