You are in the forest on your way to a town A. You come to a fork in the road, where the road splits in two, each going to a different town. You know that all the people from town A tell the truth, while all the people from the town B lie. There is a person standing there, but you donít know which town he comes from. You have 1 question Ė how do you make it to town A?

There are eight balls, one of which is slightly heavier than the others. You have a scale that you can use for weighing, but you are only allowed to use it twice. How do you find the heavier ball?

You have 18 blue socks and 14 black ones in a drawer. It is very dark. How many do you have to pull out before you have a matching pair?

You have 2 empty jugs. 1 holds 3 gallons, the other holds 5. How do you get exactly 4 gallons of water from the tap?

You are consulting a major distributor of canned beans in North America. They are considering an expansion into the South East Asian market. What would you recommend?
