Level 3 Fallers - Survey Assistant Trainees:

  • Use your current skills while learning valuable new skills in a safety conscious industry.
  • Work in remote areas using equipment such as chainsaws, ATV's and snowmobiles.
  • Work permanent, fulltime with lots of overtime opportunities.
  • Work toward establishing a career in a high-demand business.
  • Participate in a comprehensive health and RRSP benefit plan.


  • Level 3 or 4 Fallers Certificate (BC Forest Safety or Enform certified).
  • Commitment to safety in the workplace.
  • H2S and First Aid tickets are an asset.
  • The willingness to learn new skills on the job and in a formal and/or informal setting.
  • The ability to work within a strong teamwork environment.
  • Willingness to live in the Fort St John area.  (Relocation assistance may be provided.)
  • Pre-access drug and alcohol screening is required.

Experienced Survey Crew/Party Chiefs:

  • Completion of well site and pipeline surveys for the Client.
  • Use of survey equipment such as Total Station, RTK, GPS.
  • Preparation of accurate field notes, records and calculations.
  • Operation of equipment such as chain saws and similar equipment.
  • Familiarity with the safe operation of all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles.
  • Supervise/train/mentor Survey Assistants.
  • Adherence to all government, company and Client safety protocols.


  • 2+ years in a Party Chief role in land surveying, a technical diploma in Geomatics or similar, or an equivalent combination.
  • The ability to work long hours in a physically demanding job and environment.
  • The ability to work in camp on rotation in remote areas when required.
  • Possession of or ability to complete training in safety courses such as H2S, First Aid, Wildlife Awareness and similar.
  • Valid Drivers License (minimum Class 5).
  • Good verbal, written communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and safe work practices experience.
  • Pre-access drug and alcohol screening is required.

CAD Operators:

  • Prepare survey plans from collected field data for well sites, pipelines and legal surveys.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior CAD staff where possible.
  • Working well within a team environment to produce quality product.


  • Graduate of a Geomatics, Engineering, CAD or Drafting Technology program preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience, preferably in the Survey industry.
  • Strong organizational, technical and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and well organized to meet deadlines.
  • Team player mentality.
